Meaghan Piretti
Добавлен 24 фев 2017
Hello Everyone! My name is Meaghan Piretti and I am a professor for the radiologic technologist program at a community college. I teach positioning courses and labs and assist students with ARRT board prep. COVID started me on the path to online course development and recording lectures. I hope they are helpful to students in radiology!
Parallel vs. Perpendicular Radiology Imaging
These can be confusing concepts!
This relationship can be used to describe central ray or anatomy
Can you draw a T? Then it is perpendicular
Are they running in the same direction? Parallel!

30 polite Questions now i got to retake it I got a 73 smh thought I had it
THIS!!!! you have made it finally click in my brain!!! Thank you so much!! Would love to be able to print your slides, do you offer access to them? thanks
Where do you teach? Are you in SoCal? How do we message you personally? Hope to hear from you. I would like to know how I can contact you for some help.
I thought window level and brightness had an inverse relationship as well. Increasing level, increases darkness which causes brightness to decrease?
For CT it is opposite. For x-ray it is direct.
Helpful. Thanks ma❤
how can i get in touch with you? thanks
I can’t with the smacking
still such a helpful video, thank you so much <3
I saw a piece of flesh in the blood on my pad after hsg test. Is that normal please
Yes very normal.
My son needs a tutor to help him prepare for the ARRT radiology exam. Do you know someone in Miami?
Hi, no I don't know of anyone in Miami. I am in Massachusetts. Have him look into a Kettering seminar in his area. I have a zoom review session happening currently.
@@meaghanpiretti7340 Thanks
Thank you Meaghan !!! I’m off to clinicals !!! I’ve watched all your videos and have helped me with all my exams !!!!
Thank you so much for these videos.. I’m starting my radiation therapy program in a few weeks and I wanted a glimpse of what I’m getting into
Hello Meaghan I am taking my registry in 2 months and came across your RUclips channel. I’m excited to go through all the videos. I wanted to know your opinion on the best material/sites to use to study for the test? I’m very nervous and overwhelmed because there is so much material and everyone uses different materials and I just don’t know where to start. Thank you.
I am a fan of clover learning (radtech bootcamp) and the Mosby radiology review textbook (8th edition).
which book is that ?
Bontrager
thank you!!!!
Thank you sooo much for these videos! I just watched the fluoro playlist and I can't believe how much easier it is to understand than trying to read it out of a book (I find Bushong very confusing), or the jumbled up power point our instructor uses. Thank you thank you thank you!!
About to take my boards on May 30th 2024, and when you said you were taking suggestions for an acronym for remembering Foreshortening, Part alignment....I came up with FAP= Foreshortening, alignment of part. Slightly inappropriate but you better believe I remember it. 10/1 odds I burst out laughing remembering while I take the boards.
Wanted to come back here to thank you for your videos, I passed my boards yesterday. You helped SO MUCH. Thank you!
Thanks for the message! Congrats RT R!

Thank you for making radiology videos especially positioning. This will help me a lot when I step in my 3rd year in college, currently in my 2nd year. Your YT channel might be my way to pass on my subjects as well as licensure exam. I will go back in this channel when I am already a licensed Radiologic Technologist.
Tomorrow is my exam. But before that i have to listen coz im nervous now😂😂😂
I take my boards in two days this is great review thank you :)
Could you post the image intensifier information sheet you have here so I can see it more clear?

@@meaghanpiretti7340 thank you so much . The only diff between those book i think is the mandible and some part of skull.
Thank you very much for the great lecture. After watching your lecture, one question arose. If optical fibers arranged in series are used to collect blue light generated from IP, does noise occur due to loss of light in the gap between optical fibers?
Could you show how to find the seconds and mA?
mAs is simply ma x S. Just multiply the two together.
